This year we've dedicated an entire day in Malvern to celebrating the start of the Christmas period. There are events going on all over the town, starting from 9am right the way through until 4pm. With Santa’s grotto and a carousel at Malvern Library, an arts & crafts market in the grounds of the Priory, local choirs and school bands performing throughout the day in Malvern Priory, there is something to entertain the whole family. Be sure not to miss the lantern parade up the high street that will kick-off the Big Light Switch-on hosted by Wyvern FM, with special guest appearances by Amy Thompson, from Channel 5’s Milkshake and Daisy the Cow! Arts & Crafts Market
Christmas Tree Exhibition
From 28th November until 16th December you will be able to admire an exhibition of Christmas Trees decorated by local schools.
Our biggest ever arts & crafts market in the Priory grounds will be where you’ll find the very best local artists who will inspire and delight. Browse the stalls and you are sure to pick up Christmas gifts for friends and family (or even just something for yourself!).

Santa’s Grotto and Carousel
All kids are invited to meet Santa and his elves at Malvern Library from 10:30am where he will be handing out goodies to all the good boys and girls! Kids can also enjoy the traditional carousel set up at the entrance to Malvern Library.

Collecting for Guide Dogs for the Blind
Local youth groups will be collecting in aid of Guide Dogs for the Blind from 11am around Malvern.

Throughout the day Wyvern FM’s The Thunder Crew will be providing entertainment for kids of all ages in the run up to the Big Light Switch-on. They will also be giving out balloons and sweets from Belle Vue Island all afternoon!

Solo Circus Workshops & Street Entertainment
Join a local group of circus entertainers and experience stilt walking and glow juggling as you’ve never seen it before. If you and your kids fancy learning some circus tricks of your own then join in fun and take part in the various workshops that will be held throughout the day.

Mobile Farm

Music on the Belle Vue Island Stage
Come and join in with an array of Christmas music provided by local school and youth bands including The Chase School Jazz Band, Dyson Perrins Concert Band, Malvern St. James Junior Choir and The Malvern Area Music Centre.
The talented folk from Jacks of Frost will be providing entertainment around Great Malvern throughout the day with their stilt walking antics. They will also be able to direct you to the various events happening around the town.
